On Thursday, June 14th 2012, Great Ecology’s president, Dr. Mark Laska, presented at this year’s Sustainable Raritan River Conference hosted by Rutgers University.  Dr. Laska’s talk was featured a session entitled “Corporate Responsibility”.  His talk focused on Great Ecology’s involvement in restoring brownfields to greenfields along the Raritan River, using the EPEC Polymers, Inc. remediation and mitigation in Woodbridge Township as a case study.

The focus of this annual conference was Restoration and Future Stewardship: Regeneration and the Next Generation.  The event included a day of workshops and interactive discussions on citizen science, dam removal and stream restoration, municipal success stories, corporate responsibility, land management, flooding mitigation and adaptation, practicing regeneration, and how we engage our communities to utilize the Raritan River for recreation.

The conference took place in Duke Farms in Hillsborough, NJ.
