Senior Ecologist

Mitch Jenkins, M.S.

Mitch has more than 16 years of professional experience as a wildlife biologist and over 25 years of formal and informal study of Southern California’s flora, fauna and ecology. Mitch’s experience includes habitat assessments and surveys for many listed species, planning and evaluation of restoration/mitigation projects, and monitoring of construction sites in environmentally sensitive areas. His experience also includes work on CEQA document preparation, wetland delineation, and bio-technical reports. Mitch’s expertise includes identification, habitat requirements and ecology of the flora and fauna of southern California, practical applications of conservation biology principles including habitat restoration, and biological monitoring for regulatory compliance. He holds a Masters in Biology and Ecology from San Diego State University and a Bachelors in Biology, Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation from the University of California, Los Angeles.
