Cate is a Professional Biologist (ASPB) with seven years of experience in environmental impact assessment, aquatic and terrestrial surveys, wildlife salvages, ecological restoration and monitoring, and regulatory support. Cate has worked in municipal, provincial, federal, and private sectors. Her project experience spans renewable energy, mining, infrastructure, residential development, and natural heritage system and living shoreline design and construction within Canada and the United States. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Bishop’s University QC, CA and a Graduate Certificate in Ecosystem Restoration from Niagara College ON, CA. Additionally, Cate is trained in Backpack Electrofishing and genetic field sampling methods using Environmental DNA and tissue sampling.
