Dongni, originally from Beijing, China, earned a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture in China and recently completed her graduate studies in Landscape Architecture at UC Berkeley. Dongni's passion is guiding design with a scientific approach while integrating cultural contexts and community dynamics into landscape projects.

During her academic journey, she gained valuable experience through internships. In China, Dongni worked with Turenscape on planning projects, where she focused on rendering, construction drawings, and graphic design. More recently, at Fletcher Studio, she interned on public space projects, specializing in 3D printing, plant palettes, and graphic design.

As a student researcher collaborating with professors, she focused on studying the effects of climate change on mobile home parks. Her responsibilities encompassed gathering GIS datasets, contributing to climate hazard projections, and developing visualizations to illustrate research findings. These experiences have deeply influenced her dedication to tackling environmental challenges through creative and sustainable landscape design solutions.
