More About Jon:
Jon has 18 years of experience in habitat restoration, environmental stewardship programs, and conservation land management. His professional emphasis has been focused largely on watershed management and riparian habitat restoration. Jon is also well versed in working with emergency response agencies to find the balance between defensible space for wildfire safety while protecting the ecosystem services and habitat integrity of native landscapes. He has over a decade of experience in habitat management and restoration, invasive species removal, recreation planning and management, and trail building projects. Jon brings a variety of skills and experience to our team, including native plant landscape design and installation, community enhancement projects, and working with multiple stakeholders to achieve win-win outcomes for all parties and for the environment. Jon has served as a community leader in the Back Country communities of San Diego County for over 10 years, and volunteers with his local Fire Safe Council and Historical Society to preserve and protect both natural and cultural history locally. Prior to moving to Southern California, Jon worked in several National Parks throughout the West, including Grand Teton NP and Olympic NP. He also lived and worked at Lake Tahoe on the CA/NV border teaching an international exchange program focused on trans-boundary watershed management at Lake Tahoe and Lake Baikal in Russia. Jon has a Bachelor of Arts from The Evergreen State College in Olympia,Washington.
