Meghan Bowen is an ecologist with over six years of environmental consulting experience. She specializes in restoration project planning and management, ecological field surveys, and environmental data management/analysis. Meghan has also performed over 250 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) throughout the United States. Meghan has a strong background in environmental data analysis and scientific communications. Her interdisciplinary project work includes both technical assessments (GIS data analysis and mapping, watershed modelling, environmental permitting, litigation support, and data presentations) and fieldwork (conservation easement monitoring, wetland restoration monitoring and maintenance, and biological surveys in Southern California).
Her past projects include a historical ecological analysis of a Santa Barbara nature preserve, biodiversity enhancement after restoration, hummingbird diversity in Costa Rica, species distribution modeling to plan for future conservation, landscape analysis to determine correlations between deforestation and malaria in the Amazon, and coast live oak experiment maintenance and research. She holds a Master of Environmental Science and Management (MESM) from the Bren School at the University of California Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara.
