Ecologist

Victoria Apaldetti-Marquez, MS

Victoria has a diverse background in water quality monitoring, stormwater compliance, invasive species management, and habitat restoration. She has research and field experience in Sothern California’s coastal sage scrub and chaparral habitats.
Victoria has supported habitat restoration and environmental compliance efforts, including the Otay River Estuary Restoration Project, where she monitored salinity levels and conducted ArcGIS analysis. Additionally, she supported the Tijuana River Mouth Dredging Project by drafting various permit applications and compliance documents.
In her role as Assistant Project Manager for multiple contracts with the County of San Diego, Victoria has demonstrated her expertise in managing complex stormwater compliance programs. She has a strong foundation in stormwater inspections, NPDES permit compliance, project management, and has coordinated effectively with a range of local municipalities. Her contribution in developing an innovative self-verification portal for the County of San Diego’s Structural Best Management Practice Program highlights her commitment to streamlining compliance processes.
