The Fort Totten project in New York City received two merit awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). The merit awards were presented by the New York Chapter of ASLA; a national association for professional landscape architects.
The prestigious merit awards will be awarded for the following categories:
• Landscape Architecture Design: Fort Totten North Park
• Planning, Analysis, Research, and Communications: Fort Totten Park Conceptual Master Plan & Summary Report.
Great Ecology provided technical support for the project, which was led by landscape architecture firm, Nancy Owens Studio. Nancy Owens Studio has been working on the project intensely for the past three years as the principle designer, and planner. Great Ecology worked amongst a team of six sub-consultants to provide ecological expertise in support of the project.
The project team will be presenting at ASLA’s annual conference in fall 2011 in San Diego, CA.
