Green Infrastructure at Great Ecology: 2024 ASLA World Landscape Architecture Month

At Great Ecology, we're all about applying nature-based solutions to environmental challenges! This passion and experience make green infrastructure design and planning a primary focus area for our team – bringing the benefits of natural systems to engineered environments through collaborative efforts between our landscape architects and ecologists. Our goal? To craft softscapes that conserve ecosystem services, improve habitats, control erosion, reduce nutrient loading on waterways, restore floodplain connection, and require minimal upkeep.

For over two decades, Great Ecology has successfully delivered a range of green infrastructure projects across the United States including treatment wetlands, daylighting stormwater infrastructure, bioswales, green roofing, rain gardens, and more. We see green infrastructure as a smart water management approach for urban areas to preserve, restore, and make more accessible the critical water resources within our communities.
