Associate Landscape Architect

Katie Haas, PLA

Kathleen "Katie" Haas is a licensed landscape architect with over 10 years of experience in landscape design, management, and maintenance in the Northeast.
Katie has worked on a range of projects from master planning to habitat enhancement. She integrates evidence-based design into each project through site analysis and collaboration with clients and the project team. Katie’s experience has led her to understand building codes, native planting palettes, sustainable materials, and habitat enhancements. She has developed conceptual plans, assisted in obtaining local and state permitting, and performed construction administration to see projects to fruition. After project completion she has assisted in preparing plans to integrate sustainable management and maintenance strategies.
Katie’s profound appreciation for the natural patterns and processes of the landscape is integrated in her work and personal life. This passion has led her to work on an award-winning project and increase community awareness of safe corridors for habitat. On numerous occasions she has presented on native plants and pollinator ecology.
Katie holds a B.S in landscape architecture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and has recently earned a Master of Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
