Justin Apfel is an ecologist with 3 years of experience in wetland permitting, tidal and non-tidal stream assessments, Phase I site assessments, Phase II subsurface investigations, and stormwater management. He has conducted ecological restorations throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and Colorado. Justin is also experienced with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), conducting geospatial analysis and mapping, large scale geodatabase management, and developing GIS programs for municipality stormwater networks and landscape management teams. Having experience across a variety of environmental disciplines, Justin is adept in communicating with public and private sector clients on restoration, natural stream design, utility, roadway, maintenance, and stormwater conveyance projects. He was involved heavily with large scale solar site development while in Virginia but has switched focus to reintegrating natural ecological processes into urban landscapes since relocating to Colorado. Justin holds a Bachelor's in Environmental Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Christopher Newport University and is a Wetland Professional In Training (WPIT) through the Society of Wetland Scientists (SWS).
