Liz is a people- and solution-oriented generalist with a passion for learning, development, and fostering a workplace that inspires employees to be curious, compassionate, and engaged. At Great Ecology, she provides strategic direction for people operations, including leading in-house professional develop planning and training, talent acquisition strategy, and employee engagement. She also leads our copy, technical, and external communications processes.
Liz has significant experience creating and editing: technical documents, marketing and development collateral, and training materials for learners of all ages. Her previous professional experience includes: working as a grant writer, operations manager, and program leader at a youth-focused nonprofit; program development for a university-operated community safety and resilience center; a hands-on science educator and program developer at a science museum; teaching in a variety of experiential and classroom-based settings ranging from preschool to senior centers to university campuses; and developing continuing education documentation on Adobe and Microsoft products.
She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing & Environment from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Elon University. She joined Great Ecology in early 2016.
