Taryn is a recent graduate from the University of California, San Diego with a BS in General Biology and minor in Communications. During her undergraduate, she worked in multiple ecology labs, supporting research on microalgae and nematodes. She also had the opportunity to volunteer at the San Diego Audubon Society and UC Reserve System to guide educational hikes and support coastal restoration efforts. Prior to graduation, Taryn conducted a research project on amphibian species richness and distribution in Monteverde, Costa Rica during a study abroad program. She aims to pursue graduate research that supports the conservation management of reptile and amphibian species.
