Great Ecology is thrilled to announce that the Globeville Landing Park Outfall Design in Denver, CO has been awarded the 2019 Business Achievement Award for Project Merit in Ecological Design by the Environmental Business Journal.

This project, led by Merrick & Company with landscape architecture by The Architerra Group, plays a vital role in water quality improvements for the South Platte River Basin Watershed as part of the “Platte to Park Hill” stormwater retrofitting project. Great Ecology provided ecological design to a natural filtration, open-channel that serves as the centerpiece of Globeville Landing Park, providing significant environmental, greenspace and ecological benefit for the local neighborhood. The revegetation approach within the channel included an innovative strategy that modified soil chemistry to minimize the establishment of invasive weeds and encourage native species growth. You can learn more about the project here.
