Project Summary:

As the ecological consultant Great Ecology is developing future site use visioning plans for the reuse and restoration of a former refinery and smelter site adjacent to the Missouri River. Great Ecology is assessing upland, riparian, and riverine habitat resources for the 535-acre site with the potential final land use being a regional park and open space that may include passive and active recreation areas and trails, scenic overlooks, picnic areas, and cultural heritage interpretive signage. Our work additionally included a strategy to identify potential liability for the Site.
